Versions & compatibility

Mirops ships four products — the operator, the Helm chart, the CLI and the Web UI (Headlamp plugin). Each one is released on its own and has its own version number: a CLI 0.3.0 doesn't mean an operator 0.3.0. Each product's docs are versioned by its own minor; pick any of them from Versions at the top right of every page.

Operator 0.2.1 needs Web UI 0.3.1

Operator 0.2.1 writes and serves the mirror's report as <name>.mirops; Web UI 0.3.0 asks for <name>.mirror. Web UI 0.3.1 works with both operators.

Runtime support: Kubernetes 1.31 – 1.34. The add-on compatibility matrix covers 18 common add-ons, with rules up to Kubernetes 1.36. Each operator embeds a published matrix snapshot; pull a newer one any time with compatMatrix.enabled=true (see the compatibility matrix).

All versions

Every release of every product, and the docs version that covers it. A patch release (0.3.1) is documented in its minor's docs (0.3).

The Helm chart and the Web UI are listed on Artifact Hub under the mirops organization, as a Verified Publisher. All products follow Semantic Versioning. Every report is <name>.mirops; its kind field says whether a ClusterMirror or an UpgradeAnalysis wrote it.

When the docs get a new version

Each product's docs get a new version when that product ships a new minor — CLI 0.4.0 adds CLI docs 0.4 and changes nothing else. A patch (0.3.1) updates its minor's docs. Older versions stay as they were, frozen.

Coming next

The next operator minor makes the mirror more complete: an inventory of every ConfigMap, Secret and PVC (not only the ones in use), pod labels in the report so a new Service's selector can be checked, and the mirror's scope in the report — so the CLI can block on what it only flags with ? today.
